Greetings, Programs!

The Story of TRON depends on music as much as it does on computer-generated special effects.  Since 1982, music has been created in tribute to TRON and/or in the stylings of TRON.  In this episode, SHAZ and SHUA put some pieces of music together to tell the story of TRON.

TEKFORCE joins the party with his own addition to the GRID, “Stuck in a Bit World” from the upcoming album The Lightcycle Chronicles.  You can find TEKFORCE on Twitter @teknique45 and on the album Nerdcore Emulation Station (NES) on Bandcamp.

Also featured in this episode is a new album covering the original Wendy Carlos soundtrack with a guitar-rich twist.  STEMAGE released the album PRIORITY ONE: The Music of Tron last summer.  Some of the tracks from this album have been heard on previous episodes of TRON: Decoding the Grid.  Check out STEMAGE on Twitter and pick up the album on iTunes.

Greetings, Programs!

The Uprising has just begun, and even though TRON: Uprising has yet to return for a second season, USERS and PROGRAMS are talking about the possibilities all over the GRID. This episode of TRON: Decoding the Grid is totally devoted to communications received via the I/O TOWER from listeners.

This week, ASTRAICA from UNITED TRON ARMY is back to talk about an idea for another animated TRON series to continue the story we saw in TRON: Uprising.  KingJ has submitted a thorough story treatment for a possible (and plausible) series set during and after the events of TRON: Legacy called, TRON: Resurrection.  This story treatment is worth reading and discussing, and we do both!

Plus, some questions came to our friend Santiago from Spain when he was rewatching “Terminal” again.  It just goes to show you that this series bears repeat views and allows you to see new things every time.  JAMIE answers our call for technical assistance in dealing with Santiago’s questions.

You can join in the fun on TRON: Decoding the Grid by contacting us at podcast@TechnoRetroDads.com, tweeting to @TRON_DTG, or leaving a voicemail at (209) 878-7323.  Don’t forget to let Disney know how much you appreciated the series and that you want more.
